RULES FOR “DEPLOYMENT”

Set Up:

1. Select on player to be the male and one player to be the female soldier.

2. Place designated pieces on the appropriate starting square marked for the soldier

Game Play:

1.  The player who is the younger of the two starts.

2.  Said player will roll the dice and advance the number of squares shown on the dice.

-Squares:

The squares are designated into three categories. “Staff Meeting”, “Tour Event” and “Additional Training”.

Staff Meeting:

Landing on a square marked “Staff Meeting” indicates that you will draw a card from the “Staff Meeting” pile and read aloud the question on the card.  You and your compatriot will then express your views on the issue in an honest exchange of opinion and ideas.

Tour Event:

Landing on a “Tour Event” square serves to advance the series of events that occurs on your tour of duty.  Events may include a promotion, commendation, disciplinary action or other event that may occur while you are overseas.  These events may influence your progression in the game positively or negatively.

Additional Training:

Landing on an “Additional Training” square allows you the opportunity to become more well versed in the issues at hand by drawing from the pile of cards marked “Additional Training”.  Draw from the pile and read aloud the information on the card to enhance your depth of knowledge on the issue.  The card may have a quote on the issue or other helpful information.

Ending the Game:

-Once BOTH players (no teammate left behind) have reached the end of the board and thus completed their tour of duty, the game has ended and it is asked that materials be restored to their original positions to allow for subsequent games.
